The acquisition of and its amalgamation with a digital printing company caused a need to rebrand.

As the stronger brand, QDi’s name was retained and used within a contemporary brand expression. Printing services were conveyed by the ‘Q’ symbol as multiple repeating elements representing the printing of sheets of paper. The colour gradually changes, representing the new digital variable data solutions. The symbol also denotes an upload/download on-screen processing icon representing future online digital services.

The colours were retained from the previous identity as recognition of the brand’s history and equity.
